Each of our 5 traditional residential communities is overseen by an Assistant Director (AD) of Residential Life. An AD’s main focus is to build a cohesive staff, manage their area office and serve as a liaison between the central office and residential community to which they are assigned. They accomplish this by serving as a supervisor, resource, educator, mentor and group facilitator for their staff; overseeing the budget and daily operations of their community office; and collaborating with other offices and staff in the development of procedures and services for students and staff. Two full-time live-in professional Community Directors (CD) manage our on-campus apartment communities, Hillside and Susquehanna. A CD’s main focus is to provide leadership to their staff and residents while providing a living-learning environment. They accomplish this by supervising student and support staff, overseeing the budget and daily operations of their community office, and developing mentor relationships with their residents.
A full-time live-in professional Resident Director (RD) manages each of our 25 traditional residence halls. An RD’s main focus is to provide a living environment conducive to learning. They accomplish this by supervising student staff, developing mentor relationships with their residents, and managing the facilities. Apply now for fall '08.
