Greg Kuester
Resident Director


As a fourth-year RD, Greg Kuester has had the opportunity to work in 2 communities - Newing College and Mountainview College - and truly appreciates our collegiate structure.  "It provides the comfort and closeness of a smaller team, while still being apart of a large department."

Now in his 3rd year on the RD Screening Committee, Kuester encourages candidates to smile, show their sense of humor, and, of course, answer all the questions REALLY well!

Bearcat Facts

  1. Our student-to-staff ratio in the residence halls is 32:1; Binghamton staff aren't just administrators, they help develop students!
  2. 36% of our students come from under-represented ethnic and cultural backgrounds, representing almost every state in the nation and 87 countries.
  3. We were once again named "the premier public university in the Northeast" by the Fiske Guide to Colleges, 2008 edition.
  4. Our small residential communities and amazing staff create a home-away-from-home for our students.
  5. There are great opportunities for faculty-staff collaboration, especially with a Faculty Master working within each residential community!
  6. We are growing!  As admission demands continue to increase, we are responding with rebuilding two residential communities.
  7. Our students are academically successful; 87% of our incoming students were in the top 25% of their high school class.
  8. Our students come from all over the world; we have even developed a dual-diploma program with a university in Turkey!
  9. We have 20 Division 1 sports in the America East Conference, and 80% of our students participate in intramural, club or recreation sports.
  10. Our four-year graduation rate places us in the top three in the nation for public research universities.
