Hinman College Council, more commonly known
as HCC, sponsors many activities and events that benefit all residents in Hinman. Every position in the
building is open. This is an opportunity for students
who want to get involved to learn about the community
while having an active leadership role in their building.
President: The Hinman President is the official representative of Hinman. He/She runs the HCC meetings and appoints Chairs to the various committees.
Academic VP: The Academic VP brings academic programming to Hinman and helps coordinate such related activities throughout Hinman. The Academic VP chairs the Academic Programming Committee and sits on the Harpur College Council or appoints another in his/her place.
Public Affairs VP: The PA VP is the Secretary of Hinman. He/She is responsible for taking minutes at the HCC meetings and preserving all records pertaining to the council. In addition, the PA VP is responsible for the publicity of events inside and outside of Hinman.
Financial VP: The Financial VP is responsible for the Hinman budget and all financial transactions of the Council. He/She shall chair the Finance Committee.
Social VP: The Social VP coordinates social activities throughout Hinman. He/She also chairs the Social Programming Committee.
HCC meets every Tuesday at 9:00 PM. Locations rotate within the Hinman buildings. Call or email the Hinman Office at x7-4716 for the next meeting location.

Hinman College Council HCC is an active student government that is easy and fun to be involved! The central council that oversees all of Hinman is elected in the spring, and is made up of five primary officers: the President, Academic Vice-President, Financial Vice-president, Social Vice-president, and Public Affairs Vice-president. Every fall there is also five executive boards elected, one to represent each residence hall in Hinman. On these e-boards, there are usually two Presidents, two Social VP's, two Academic VP's, a Financial VP and two Public Affairs VP's. In addition to the elected positions, anyone in Hinman has the opportunity to become involved in the council by being a Hinman College Representative. |
