Living-Learning at Binghamton

Because a large part of your growth as a college student happens outside the classroom, the Faculty Masters in each community work to bridge the gap between academics and the residential communities. This is yet another way that Binghamton works to make students in the residential communities feel like they're a part of a small college, while still enjoying the resources of a mid-size university. Each community offers something different, but some of the living-learning opportunities available include:

• special area-based courses
• first year experience courses taught by staff within your community
• fellows: members of the University community who have demonstrated an interest in interacting with students. It's a great way to talk with faculty outside of the classroom.
• study groups
• leadership certificate program
• community service opportunities
