Facilities and Hours of Operation

CIW Office

Regular Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Winter and Summer Break Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

CIW Dining Hall

Located at the bottom of the CIW hill between the Tuscarosa building and Mohawk Hall, the recently renovated Dining Hall houses a full kitchen and can accommodate up to half of the residents of CIW at any given moment. Standard hours of operation are as follows:

Mon - Thurs: 8:00am - 8:30pm
Friday: 8:00am - 7:00pm
Saturday: 11:30am - 7:00pm
Sunday: 11:30am - 8:30pm

 

Nite Owl Cafe

Located on the top level of the CIW Dining Hall, Nite Owl operates from 8:30pm to 1:00am Sunday through Thursday. Offering their own specialized menu consisting of foods offered at the dining hall as well as exclusive meal choices, the Nite Owl is a vital part of any CIW resident's evening.

CIW Library and Center for Academic Excellence

College-in-the-Woods has its own quiet, attractive library that is used extensively. Conveniently located in the Iroquois Commons, it is a good place for many CIW students to study. You also find a walk-in tutorial center (Center for Academic Excellence) that is unique to our community. You will also find a change machine and copy machine here. It is open to all University students offering 24 computers for student use in the CIW Library.

Our library also houses the University Scholars Program (x7-6737) and the McNair Scholars Program (x7-6594).

Photography Darkroom

Located in Onondaga Hall, this darkroom has been recently renovated and the equipment has been updated. It is open for students interested in continuing the photography club as well as students creating special projects, working with Woods World and the CIW Slide Show.
