Offering a small-college atmosphere at a larger university!
Why be "just a number" when you can be a part of a thriving community? While living
on-campus at Binghamton you'll feel that you're at a small college while enjoying
the resources of a first-rate university. Our residence halls offer interactive communities
with over 2,000 programs each year!
Making learning fun!
Debates, movie reviews, and field trips - just a few of the ways we make learning
fun! Our students are supported in their academic and personal growth by a tenured
Faculty Master, dedicated professional staff, and Resident Assistants. Our goal is
to provide academic guidance and add to your educational experience, while maintaining
and enhancing a real sense of community on campus. We want you to feel at home and
our staff will work with you to help you connect with all we have to offer!
All residents are expected to vacate their rooms 24 hours after their last exam (typically no later than 9pm, May 18th).
Extensions
The time to apply for an extension has elapsed. No further extensions will be granted.
24 hour quiet hours are in effect 11:59 PM, 5/11 - through exam week

Kevin N. Wright is a criminologist and a member of the faculty in the Department of Human Development. The focus of his research is on how to prevent children and youth from engaging in problematic behaviors—committing crimes; using drugs, tobacco and alcohol; becoming teenage parents; misbehaving in schools; and failing and dropping out of school. As a result of his successful work with human service agencies and schools, he is frequently called upon to lead community organizations to plan, solve complex problems and to develop coalitions. Recent activities include helping an arts organization to develop its strategic plan, presiding over town hall meetings for disaster victims, developing an interagency coalition to address the needs of youth, and leading a coalition of community members and school officials to assess and refocus athletics within the school district.
As the newest Faculty Master , Wright is excited to have the opportunity to lend his organizational experience and skills within the collegiate structure of Residential Life at BU. Wright enjoys being able to interact with students outside the classroom and to help them understand that professors are approachable, willing to help and concerned about their academic progress and development. According to Wright, “it is both challenging and rewarding to be part of the effort to develop community within a Residential College that provides opportunities for personal and intellectual growth of all students.”
Wright is an avid skier and cyclist and always willing to tell students about his adventures and to encourage them to pursue their own explorations.
